New Purchases

Really really really (x100) sorry for not posting in so long. I've been mega busy with work and revision for my upcoming exams, I've just not had any time to post. As much as I love blogging, there won't be as many posts up here for the time being with all my exams taking priority right now (did I really just say that?) In the summer I'll be able to blog to my heart's content so please stick with me!

These are just some of the recent purchases I've bought over the last few weeks. I bought the silver cuff Diva necklace today for only £2 in the Sale at Miss Selfridge which is really good considering it was about £8/10 originally. Can't wait to put it on, I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it.

A few weeks ago, I bought this nail polish from Boots which I really like. I wasn't too sure about it at first, it looks really green in dark light but a nice bright turqoise in normal light. I haven't used a lot of it yet, my mum seems to be stealing all my nail polishes at the moment!

I'm always on the quest for perfect skin so when I saw Barbara's youtube video which included this Organic Vitamin E Pure Oil Complex, I had to go out and buy it. You can purchase it from Holland & Barratts for £8.39 I think it was. It's meant to remove the appearance of scarring, stretch marks and dry skin so I thought it'd be perfect for getting rid of my acne scarring. I used it for the first time last night so can't really give a full review yet, but it is really oily so personally I would use it at night or early evening maybe, instead of using it in the morning and then putting make-up on top of it.

I also bought a new collection of face masks that I try to use sometime each week, which I think really help my skin! I would say the peeling masks help my skin even more than just the normal wash off masks.

Lastly, this shirt came last month but I haven't managed to get it into a proper outfit post yet, look out for that sometime though! It's from Romwe and I used the gift voucher that I won to buy it. I absolutely love it!

Hope you're all having a nice week!

Some of you might know that I'm going dairy-free at the moment to try to see if it will help my skin to clear up. If anyone has any suggestions or alternatives for what I can eat/drink instead of dairy then please comment or tweet me! All suggestions appreciated! If you've tried going dairy-free before, let me know how it went for you.

I've also just booked my spray tan for prom and about to book my nails soon. If you follow me on twitter then you might know that I've booked an appointment with the makeup artist from YSL in Fenwicks to do my prom makeup for me, so I'm really excited for that. Not sure what to have done yet though, smoky eye maybe? What do you think?

  2. wow, that necklace was such a bargain! some gorgeous purchases :) I'm lactose intolerant so i don't eat dairy, and the best alternative to milk for me is soya; tastes fine on cereal and in drinks but not to drink on its own. The soya chocolate mouses are GORGEOUS! hah! If it's lactose your cutting out theres a 'lactose free' range which sells cheese, milk, yoghurts etc. which is much nicer tasting if you like drinking milk on its own! Good luck with it, hope it helps your skin! :) xo

    1. I tried the soya milk on it's own haha hated it! I'm using almond milk at the moment on cereal and things and I've tried the rice chocolate milk which isn't too bad. I HAVE to try these mouses you're talking about, which supermarket do you get them from? It's not particularly lactose I'm cutting out, it's mainly just dairy altogether like milk! Thank you! xx

    1. I would just say have a good cleanser and use it day and night! If you get blemishes, then maybe use Panoxyl gel 2.5 on them, it dries them out and gets rid of them but the gel does tend to leave scarring. For the scarring I use the above product - the vitamin e oil which really lightens the scars!
