As you might have already guessed, today's post is on the subject of Christmas and something a little bit different! You may have heard of the name Electra Formosa before, she's a fashion stylist and also a Disney presenter who's recently set up her own YouTube channel giving style advice to younger people over the winter period for fashionable Christmas looks. This might be of interest to those who have daughters/nieces or younger relatives and are stuck on what to buy them as presents. Electra shoots her videos behind-the-scenes at the M&S Christmas Kidswear photoshoot giving an insight into how young girls can style themselves at home to create fashionable looks.
Some of the trends featured include Bowmania, Rue de Paris, The Party Dress, Sparkle, Luxe Faux Fur and the Cool Christmas Jumper. You might also be able to relate to some of these trends aswell, especially the Sparkle and Luxe Faux Fur. During Christmas I love to wear sparkly sequinned outfits and in A/W I like to stock up on my faux fur items! A lot of the pieces in the 3-minute videos can provide inspiration in order to transition the trends into a more mature look if you wanted. My favourite is probably the Faux Fur video, it includes some gorgeous items and I love the leopard print bag from M&S!
All of the videos are there to give you ideas on what to buy your younger relatives/friends etc for Christmas, providing an outlook on different items included in various trends that could be considered for the girls!
Electra explains, “With each of the looks, I have tried to give different and unique style tips so there is something in there for everyone, whether you are a girly girl who wants to know how to sparkle up a dress or if you're going to be out and looking to wrap up warm in style with some luxe faux fur.” The series runs throughout the month of November so subscribe to Electra Loves where you can access all the videos youtube.com/electraloves
Hope you enjoyed this post and definitely have a watch of the Christmas Specials series to get some inspiration!
