New products

I've recently purchased some new products which I think deserve a mention on here, simply because I love them. My hair has been an utter mess recently, literally resembling a nest of straw. Okay, maybe not literally but you get what I mean.

I went on the lookout for a couple of products which I thought would transform my dry, brittle hair into something more glossy and healthier. I ended up going to the Boots counter and handing over my money to buy these two beauties.

Lee Stafford Argan Oil: I've always wanted to try argan oil so I thought buying it from the Lee Stafford range would be cheaper and more affordable than somewhere else. At £11.99 I was a little bit apprehensive at first especially as it's a small bottle but I went for it anyway and I am so glad that I did. You only need about 2 or 3 pumps depending on the thickness of your hair, etc. When you've got the oil in your hands rub them together and then just apply to your hair. You can use the oil on wet or dry hair, whichever you prefer. Argan oil has been going round the blog-o-sphere for a while now and I can't believe I've only just purchased this. It makes my hair smell gorgeous and immediately I can see the difference once I've applied it, so much more shinier! You can buy it from Boots here.

Herbal Essences Split End Protection Intensive Mask: As I walked through the doors into Boots, the first thing that I spotted was this product (it was love at first sight, seriously). In my head I wanted an affordable but effective hair mask which would work for my hair, and on offer at £2.03 this was perfect. There are 3 different types of masks that Herbal Essences do: Beautiful Ends, Hello Hydration and Dazzling Shine. I opted for the 'Beautiful Ends' one because I have a lot of breakage and my split ends needed to be saved! Working with the argan oil I bought, I thought they would pair up together perfectly. You put the product on wet hair, leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash off. The smell of it is amazing, in fact I think you should just go out and buy it simply for it's beautiful scent. I can really see the difference it makes to my hair and feels so much softer. After using it for a longer amount of time my hair should be on it's way to silky, smooth and supermodel ready (cringe sorry ha!). You can buy the masks from Boots here but be quick while they're on offer!

The next thing I bought is a skincare product. I've been searching for a good cleanser for a while now but I never know which one to get. I am ashamed to admit this but over the past few months I have only been using makeup wipes to take my makeup off without using an additional cleanser on top of that or anything. I've read that the skin repairs itself at night so a good cleanser is essential especially because I have quite oily skin. I didn't want anything too harsh or something that includes lots of things inside, I was just looking for something simple and gentle.

Johnson's Daily Essentials Oil Balancing Gel Wash: I use Johnson's wipes to clear my makeup off at night so thought that the gel wash would work nicely with them, too. I wipe my makeup off in the evening and then use this after. All you do is squirt some into your hands and then massage and lather around your face then wash off with warm water. As you can see from the picture above, it has little pink bits inside it which help to cleanse your face too. And they're pink obviously, so that's always a plus! The gel wash leaves my face feeling really fresh, clean and soft. This one is for combination skin but I think they do one for normal skin aswell. I actually bought this from Superdrug but can't seem to find the link for it, if you'd like to buy it then try searching the website again. Also, I think supermarkets like Tesco might sell it aswell, click here.

Have you ever tried any of these products? What are your opinions on them? Any other similar products you would recommend?
