A beauty post today, haven't done one of these in so long! These are the two main products that I've currently been using in my daily routine and ones I've been loving. I never really know which cleanser to go for when looking for a new one so I asked on Twitter a while ago and Cetaphil seemed to be coming up a lot plus I'd seen it circulating around a few blogs so I'd thought I'd try it out.
I've been using this for about a month now and really like it! It's very gentle which is what I wanted as I have quite sensitive skin and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. It's soap-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic meaning it shouldn't block pores. It definitely doesn't and I always feel very refreshed after using it. I wanted to use a simple and gentle product as I have oily skin so I'm really prone to breakouts. The gentleness of the product assures me that it's not going to strip my skin. I use this in the morning and at night.
Although there are good points about Cetaphil, one of the downsides is that I sometimes feel like it's not thoroughly cleansing my skin enough because it is so gentle so to target this I use the St. Ives Apricot Scrub Exfoliator after I've cleansed with Cetaphil. This one is aimed at people with sensitive skin types and although it's a gentler formula than the 'invigorating scrub' I still always feel like it's exfoliating my skin thoroughly and getting rid of all the dull surface cells and the remains of any makeup etc. It smells really nice and even though it does have a fragrance to it, it doesn't seem to irritate my skin. I never used to use an exfoliator before but now that I've introduced one into my routine my skin has definitely thanked me for it.
You can purchase both products from the Boots website here and here.
Have you ever tried any of these products before? What did you think?

ReplyDeleteI agree! x
Deleteahh i didn't like the st. ives scrub :( too harsh for my skin -- especially if you prefer to exfoliate every day! i use the leftovers as a foot scrub, though -- and i really like it for that!

DeleteI love St.Ives scrub, it's also the only scrub I use now. x
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many great things about cetaphil! I wish they'd sell it in Holland! I'm probably buying it when I'm in England again!
