pink diy

top | diy // leggings | h&m // blazer | primark // necklace, studded bracelet | diva @ miss selfridge

So I had this bright idea one day to start dip-dying some tshirts/jumpers and this is how one of them turned out - not too bad for my first attempt I'd say! Some of the others did go terribly wrong, but this one is by far the nicest and I've been wearing it constantly lately. It's like the perfect top to just throw on, over a pair of leggings/jeans and then you're good to go. I bought the top from h&m, it was fairly cheap and it's kind of like a lilac colour but it looks really light in the pictures. I used Dylon's Flamingo Pink fabric dye to dip-dye it with and I love how it's turned out. I had an incredibly messy and creative morning one day last week with my bucket in the kitchen and dye everywhere - very productive! I might consider doing some more, including shorts maybe and selling some online. If you'd be interested, let me know!

I bought the grey leggings a few weeks ago aswell from h&m and they're now a complete wardrobe essential, I have no idea how I lived without them before. I never even considered grey leggings before I saw these in h&m but they're great as they go with almost anything. They're quite a tight fit and the material is different to normal black leggings, I can't really describe it but I love them!

There are so many things that I've seen that I want to buy recently and it's so hard because I have no money to buy them with, I'm looking for a job so hopefully something should come up before summer ends, fingers crossed! I'm also looking around to do some work experience in fashion or along those lines so if you know anywhere that might be willing to take someone on for a short amount of time, I'd be so grateful if you could let me know :)

Hope you're having a good weekend! Do you like the top? Have you ever done any dip-dying/customising before?

  3. That looks incredible, so professional! I'm super duper impressed, I don't think I could manage that in a million years! Good luck job hunting :) for non-fashiony work maybe try looking at the travel industry because this is peak season and travel companies tend to take on staff over summer. I work for a foreign currency company each summer, and they always employ loads of people june-sept :)

  9. Ooh, absolutely adore the top, such a gorgeous colour and you've made the dip-dye so gradually faded out, it's so well done! The way you've style it is lovely, too, the grey leggings keep it quite casual :)
