jacket: peacocks // shirt: glamorous* // skirt: topshop // ring: dorothy perkins
I'm back home after one of the best weekends I've ever had. I had such a lovely time in London with some family and the interview that I mentioned went really well too. V festival was absolutely amazing and I loved every minute of it, even the heat, the sweat and getting caught in the middle of about 5 moshpits. We also got on tv seeing labrinth and rizzle kicks, yay! We were literally right at the front for a few of them which was crazy. I can't believe the weather though, it was super hot and I got sunburnt so bad, definitely worth it!
Trying to get into my usual routine of things now back at home including blogging. I received this lovely shirt from Glamorous last week which I love. The cut-out pattern on the collar is so cute and adds more detail to the shirt, I don't think I've even seen anything the same before. The shirt is really oversized making it different to the tailored tight-fitting shirts you tend to see more of, but I definitely see it as a positive thing because I love the overall look of it, including the large pocket at the side. The colour palette is wearable making it easy to pair the shirt with different things. I like how the style of it is casual yet still quite smart meaning it's the perfect shirt!
I bought the skirt from Topshop Oxford St for £16 which I think is good value for money. When I'm shopping in Topshop, I can only really justify the prices if I'm going to get a lot of wear out of something. A simple black skirt should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe and I have no idea how I went without one before.
The jacket is from Peacocks and I absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it hanging on it's own on the rail! It was reduced from £36 down to £10 so of course I had to have it. I'd been looking for a new jacket that I could wear in autumn/winter and this ticks all of the boxes, I can definitely say a really good purchase and I just love it so much!
Hope you're all having a nice week so far, if you want to see any of my london/v fest photos some of them are on my instagram @lauracmcv if you want to have a look. Also, congratulations to everyone who got the A-levels they wanted and fingers crossed for people getting GCSE results tomorrow, so scared!
